Taking Bookings Starting in September

Dr. Justin W. Marson is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon dedicated to the precise, compassionate treatment of skin cancer and complex dermatologic conditions.

He completed his fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. There, he trained in the most advanced techniques for removing skin cancer while preserving healthy tissue and each patient’s natural appearance.

Dr. Marson earned his medical degree through Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School’s accelerated seven-year BA/MD program. A Presidential Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa member, he graduated summa cum laude at the top of his class. He completed his dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year and received the Outstanding Achievement in Research Award for his exceptional contributions to the field.

A recognized voice in dermatologic research, Dr. Marson has received numerous awards, presented at premier conferences across the United States and Canada, and authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications. His research spans melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer epidemiology, Mohs surgery, teledermatology, acne and diet, rosacea and the microbiome, dermatologic conditions affecting patients with skin of color, and innovative surgical imaging technologies.

His pioneering work applying LiDAR technology to dermatology and dermatologic surgery earned national recognition through the American Academy of Dermatology Innovation Academy DermTank competition and the La Roche-Posay Young Investigator Grant Award.

What sets Dr. Marson apart is not only his technical expertise, but also his belief that skin cancer treatment begins long before a scalpel touches the skin. His patient-centered approach focuses on personalizing every visit and consultation, taking the time to explain each step, answer every question, and guide patients and their families with genuine care.

His commitment to education is rooted in years of working with students and physicians-in-training through roles at his alma mater, Rutgers University, and as a volunteer faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate, where he continues to mentor the next generation of clinicians.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Marson is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, an accomplished baritone who has performed with choirs across the country, and a musical theater performer with more than a decade of stage experience.

He brings this same enthusiasm for connection and creativity to his practice, striving to provide every patient with tailored, evidence-based care so they and their families can always feel confident in their treatment.
