Spectra FX Laser is a new addition to Lutronic’s line of high-end lasers that uses fractionated nano-second laser pulses delivered with a novel handpiece for the treatment of acne scarring and textural improvements. Spectra FX delivers fractionated, high-energy split nano-second pulses to induce non-thermal optical breakdown within the dermis to promote collagen remodeling and elastin production while leaving the epidermis unharmed. Spectra FX was also effective in improving skin texture and quality, with improvements in radiance, smoothness, pigmentation, pore size, and wrinkles. Studies demonstrated not only the efficacy but also the safety and minimum downtime associated with the Spectra FX procedure. We consider this the next-generation Pico laser.

Your Consultation

When patients come in for their Spectra FX laser treatment consultation, they will need to answer some questions. Topics will include their aesthetic goals and their medical history. If the patient is currently taking any medications or has any pre-existing conditions, these will need to be discussed.

Spectra FX Laser Aftercare

Spectra FX laser treatments don’t come with long recovery periods. Patients may experience redness around the affected areas, which fades in a few hours. There might be some swelling, itchiness, or mild discomfort in rarer cases.

Patients can return to their jobs and all other regular activities immediately following the treatment. Patients will be advised to avoid tanning beds and too much exposure to UV rays for at least 24 hours.

   I love Dr Higgins ! I’ve been a patient with her for the last two years. I originally came to see her because I was struggling with painful  hormonal acne and a lot of hyper pigmentation issues. Two years later my skin is GLOWING and my confidence is up! Dr Higgins is so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. She cares for all her patients like they are her family. I even come to the office twice a month now to see Bella for extraction facials that are covered by my insurance (incredible! unheard of! a $30 professional facial!). The team at the front desk are so sweet and also make sure that my favorite snacks are stocked in the waiting room when I come in, and are always really helpful when I need to coordinate my medication refills.    Quick, professional, and thorough!
