Zocdoc Booking

We’re also available to book through Zocdoc’s booking platform.

Please be aware that when you book with a specific provider, Zocdoc may book your appointment with another clinician within our establishment, under Dr. James Wang’s supervision. Unfortunately, this is how Zocdoc works and it is out of our control. You will receive a prompt before confirming your appointment notifying you of this provider change.

If you have a preference on a specific provider, it may be best to schedule through our website’s online booking system.

Once your appointment has been booked, you will receive a text message from us via our HIPPA-compliant, secure and encrypted text messaging system called Klara.

How much do visits cost?

Visit costs are variable and will depend on the medical complexity, number of issues, and length of visit. The costs and coverage, if you’re insured, is determined by your specific contract with your insurance company. After your copay is collected, the remainder of your services will be billed through your insurance company, and any remaining balance sent to you as a statement. Any visit fee does not include additional procedures done that day. We will be able to provide an estimate of maximum costs for procedures done on the day of service. Based on your individual insurance plan, you will be responsible for an amount usually less than the estimate.

For our out-of-pocket or self-pay patients, see below:
Medical Initial Consultation Fee: $170
Medical Follow-up Fee: $150

Cosmetic Initial Consultation Fee: $170
-Fee can be fully applied to certain treatments including Botox, Dysport, and fillers if treatment is done on the same day as the consultation appointment.

We accept cash, all major credit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. FSA and HSA benefits are also welcomed. Unfortunately, we cannot accept regular Care Credit at this time, but we do accept Care Credit credit cards with the VISA logo.

Is there a fee if I don't show up or cancel last minute?

A $50 charge will be assessed for late cancellations, last minute reschedule within 2 business day of the scheduled appointments, and no shows. Credit card on file is required.

Why did I receive a bill?

We are contracted with most major PPO insurance carriers. If you are using insurance, we will ask for your insurance policy details when you schedule your appointment. With it, we are able to verify your plan is active, that we’re a contracted provider, as well as your co-pay amount. This allows us to BILL your insurance. Due to the variety of network options, we are unable to confirm whether or not we are in your specific preferred provider network. You may confirm that information by performing a simple search on your provider’s website.

  • Please note: a contracted plan and a covered procedure does not mean that insurance will pay for your visit in full. Additionally, the prices for all insurance-billed services nationwide are set by the insurance companies, and up to what dollar amount they will pay varies among individuals. We do not see the details of your contract with your insurance (there are thousands of plans), so we recommend that you understand your plan thoroughly before seeking any type of medical care. We are happy to provide you with any information possible to inquire further with your plan.

  • If your insurance plan has a deductible that has not been met, you may expect to receive a bill. A deductible is the number that dictates how much your insurance needs you to pay out of pocket before they kick in to help. The higher the deductible, the more you have to spend before they fully activate (for covered procedures). It’s also confusing because sometimes not only your procedure is applied to your deductible, but also your visit. This will vary plan by plan.

  • If we have requested lab work or a biopsy pathology for you, please be aware that the performing laboratories will bill you separately. In some cases, additional tests will be performed to reach the final diagnosis for biopsies.
How do I pay my bill/outstanding patient balance?

This is a secure payment portal. To proceed, please press PAY HERE, and you will have the opportunity to input your name, invoice number OR your date of birth to locate your account.

Once your transaction is processed, you will receive a payment confirmation via email. If you have any questions or issues, please contact us:

Do I need a referral?
In general, the insurance plans we accept do not require referrals. However, student PPO plans often do. If you have insurance through your university, it is best to inquire with student health whether or not a referral is required prior to your visit.
PolicyWhat happens if I’m running late to my facial appointment?

To make sure you get the most from your visit, here are the best practices and notes for booking esthetician services:

Please try to arrive on-time or a few minutes early.

Unlike a regular medical visit, where there is some presumed wait time, the timing for aesthetician services is much more precise. With your schedule in mind, our providers work very hard to begin and end their treatments on time. Once you book a specific service, the start and end times of that service are set.

If you are running late, know that it may cut into your treatment time. We will accommodate you as much as is reasonably possible, but please know you are responsible for the reserved time in full.

The basic charges for a 30-minute extraction session, or $95, which will automatically be charged to your card on file (required) for same-day cancellations and no shows for all aesthetician services. If you find that you must reschedule, you may request to cancel via our text/email reminder system up to 48 hours in advance or simply call the office.

We request at least 48 hours cancellation notice or we may assess a $50 fee

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that patients let us know if they’re not planning to attend their scheduled visits so we can open up time for others who need to be seen instead.

We request at least 48 hours cancellation notice or we may assess a $50 fee Here at Metropolis, we will do everything we can to accommodate appointment changes and cancellations as required. While we do have systems in place to send confirmation calls/texts/emails for all appointments, it is still your responsibility to remember your appointment.

We value your time and appreciate you for viewing and supporting our policy, which ultimately preserves the quality service we hope to deliver.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope you enjoy the services!
