Shanice McKenzie
Staff Dermatologist (Saturdays)
Dr. Shanice McKenzie is a University of Southern California-trained dermatologist, who specializes in medical dermatology. She attended Cornell University for undergraduate school and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Society. She earned her medical degree from the UCLA/Drew Medical Education Program at David Geffen School of Medicine, where she graduated with academic accolades including co-president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Glasgow-Rubin Award from the American Medical Women’s Association for being the top female student in her class.
Dr. McKenzie has authored over a dozen research publications on a number of topics including hair loss, hidradenitis suppurativa, and health equity. In 2023, she was named as Physician of the Year in the department of dermatology at LAC+USC Medical Center. Dr. McKenzie plans to become a dermatopathologist, a dermatology subspecialty which focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at the microscopic and molecular level.
Outside of the clinic, you will find Dr. McKenzie either traveling, going to the beach, attending a live music performance, or trying new restaurants in Los Angeles.
