Dr. Janice Ma, M.D.
Dermatologist
Dr. Ma is a Southern California native. She attended college at UCLA, where she majored in Biology and completed a Gerontology Interdisciplinary Minor. She then earned her medical degree at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, where she received multiple accolades including the American Dermatological Association Fellow Award for her research in melanoma. She subsequently completed her dermatology residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. During this time, she was also the resident advisor and co-editor for the American Academy of Dermatology’s quarterly publication: DermWorld Directions in Residency. Dr. Ma has published over a dozen peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts and authored several book chapters in the field of dermatology. She has presented her research at local and national meetings. She is a member of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Medical Dermatology Society.
Dr. Ma loves all aspects of dermatology, including medical and procedural dermatology and being able to care for patients of all ages and skin types. As a dermatologist, she incorporates evidence-based medicine, prioritizes the unique concerns of each patient and values counseling her patients in order to provide the highest quality of care for her patients.
