Dr. Simone Montgomery, M.D., M.P.H
Staff Dermatologist (Saturdays)
Simone Montgomery, MD, MPH is a chief dermatology resident at the combined Los Angeles General/Keck School of Medicine of USC dermatology program. She also completed her internal medicine training at AMITA Health Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Her interests in dermatology include pigmentary disorders, skin of color, procedural, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Montgomery attended Northwestern University, where she studied psychology to complete her bachelor’s degree. She earned her MD and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She graduated from medical school with the Dean’s Highest Distinction (equivalent of summa cum laude) and was awarded the Irving I. Lasky Memorial Research Award. During her time in medical school, she was inducted into the Order of Arete at USC, Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and Delta Omega Public Health Honor Society.
Dr. Montgomery completed several years of research, both at Loma Linda University and at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, where she was the first medical student to complete the USC Pigmentary Disorders and Skin of Color Research Fellowship. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal publications and several book chapters, as well as presented over twenty abstracts at both national and international conferences.
Outside of work, Dr. Montgomery enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, traveling, scuba diving, working out, and spending time at our beautiful California beaches.
